At TalkShoe there are a multitude of shows for you to dial in and be involved with. At present, there are two ways to do this:
- You can use the ordinary telephone to call TalkShoe and connect to the show. Though it is the the quickest, there are some disadvantages such as somewhat lesser sound quality and that it does count as a toll call to your long-distance service. If you're on a plan with no US long-distance charges, there's no charge for connecting to TalkShoe either!
- You can use VOIP, software for your computer that allows you to use the internet as a way to call people. VOIP (Voice Over IP) just requires that you have a microphone and some way to hear the other side -- speakers or headphones, the latter generally works better. VOIP is the perferred method to dial in as it offers better sound quality and smoother connections assuming you have sufficient bandwidth.
Many people don't understand how to set up VOIP on their system.
Almost every VOIP client available has a guide and we will show you in-depth on how to customize your VOIP client to a provider to make it usable and able to provide calls.
To begin. Just click an icon or name to the right and a guide with pictures will appear. If you need a VOIP provider. We suggest you use Voxalot. Easy to set up an account, and it's free.
